The new emblem retains the country's traditional symbol, the Gallic rooster. In addition, the logo now includes the word "France" and the "FFF" abbreviation has been slightly reduced.
The previous logo was updated in 2018 after France's victory in the World Cup in Russia. A second star was added to the emblem, symbolizing their second World Cup title.
