Former Turkish national team member Alper Potuk has received a severe penalty. Sport24.az reports that the 34-year-old winger, who plays for Gostivar, has been banned from football for 2 years by the decision of the Football Federation of North Macedonia.
The organization's press service reported this.
"Gostivar" left the field in the 28th round of the national championship match against "Rabotnicki". Captain Alper Potuk gave the team instructions to go to the dressing room before the end of the game in order to protest the referee's decisions. Therefore, the Turk was punished.
Also, the Turkish president of the club, Enes Usta, was also disqualified for 2 years.
"Gostiva" also received a severe penalty. Thus, the team was given a technical defeat. In addition, they lost 9 points.
It should be noted that "Gostivar" scored 48 points after 29 rounds in the North Macedonian championship and is in 4th place in the tournament table.
