"It would be better for the development of young football players if the limit was not abolished. This step will create problems for local football players." Farhad Veliyev said this in his statement to Sport24.az.
The former national team goalkeeper shared his thoughts on the abolition of the legionnaire limit:
"The future will show how much the decision will benefit the country's football. After this, local football players will have an even greater responsibility to get into the main squad of their teams. Some football players of our national team sit on the bench in their clubs. In this regard, this difficulty will increase even more. The participation of 12 teams in the next season's championship is positive."
It should be noted that one of the important decisions taken at the last meeting of the AFFA Executive Committee (EC) was the abolition of the legionnaire limit for the next season.
