İdman.biz reports that the team from the French capital has secured a promotion to the top division ahead of schedule.
"Paris" drew with "Martigues" (1:1) in the 33rd round of Ligue 2 and will now not fall below second place in the standings.
With one round left to finish, the team is 2 points behind the leader "Lorient."
"Paris" last played in the French top league in the 1978/79 season. The team's best result was 12th place in the 1972/73 season.
It should be noted that the last time two clubs from the capital - PSG and "Racing Paris" - played in the French top league was in the 1989/90 season.
