A football match was held within the framework of the "Yeni Üfüq - Empowerment of young people deprived of parental care by increasing their employment skills" project, implemented with the financial support of SOCAR Midstream Gas Operations and its partners in the South Caucasus Pipeline. Sport24.az reports that, in addition to vocational training, various additional activities are carried out within the project to support the social and psychological well-being of young people, develop team spirit, promote a healthy lifestyle, and effectively organize their leisure time.
The football match was also one of the social development activities organized in this direction.
The AFFA's Social and Environmental Sustainability Department supported the event as a partner. AFFA provided the participants with football uniforms and also allocated a field for the game. After the match, Gara Garayev, a well-known football player and analyst of the Azerbaijani national team under 21, presented awards to the winning team.
It should be noted that the 10-month "Yeni Üfüq" project covers 80 young people aged 15-18 who live in boarding schools and children's institutions in Baku and have lost their parents or are deprived of parental care.
