Liverpool's captain Virgil van Dijk has commented on the departure of head coach Arne Slot.
Idman.Biz reports that Liverpool officially announced the parting of ways with the Dutch specialist on May 30. The club's statement noted that Slot immediately left his post and a search for a new head coach was started.
Van Dijk posted a short farewell message on his social media account:
"We will never forget winning the Premier League in our first season together. Thank you, coach. Good luck to you and your family in the future."

The Dutch specialist arrived at Anfield in June 2024 and won the English championship in his first season with the team.
According to "This Is Anfield", Van Dijk was the first Liverpool player to make a public post after Slot's departure. The source notes that although other players within the team are active on social networks, it was the captain who broke the silence regarding the head coach's departure.
"Sports Mole" writes that the main favorite among Slot's possible replacements is Andoni Iraola. The Spanish specialist recently left Bournemouth and Liverpool's sporting director Richard Hughes knows him well from his time at the English club.
