FIFA President Gianni Infantino has shared his thoughts on the ticket prices for the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
Sport.Biz reports, citing foreign media, that the FIFA president stated the prices are lower than those of other major sports competitions in the US.
"The ticket prices for the World Cup are lower than those of all playoff stages of other sports in the US. When we put the tickets on sale, they are sold at a higher price. This shows that everything is calculated correctly. Such decisions are made after a thorough analysis", – Infantino said.
Note that the 2026 World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the US, Canada, and Mexico. The current champion of the tournament is the Argentina national team.
