An interesting detail has come to light regarding the FIFA Peace Prize presented to US President Donald Trump during the 2026 World Cup draw ceremony held in Washington yesterday.
İdman.Biz, citing modern.az, reports that the bronze award given to Trump is a miniature version of the famous work "Thoughts and Dreams" by Azerbaijani People's Artists Salhab Mammadov and Ali Ibadullayev.
Salhab Mammadov is the Vice-Rector of the State Academy of Arts and the First Deputy Chairman of the Union of Artists. He is the father of Elkhan Mammadov, the former General Secretary of AFFA, who currently heads the European national associations department at FIFA.
Ali Ibadullayev is also a member of the Union of Artists.

The 4-meter-high monument is currently located in Geneva, in the park in front of the UN Palace of Nations.
Built between 1929 and 1938, the Palace of Nations is one of the largest public buildings in the world, and the 46-hectare Ariana Park, where it is located, is one of the largest parks in Geneva. More than 2,000 works of art, paintings and sculptures are exhibited in the Palace of Nations building and Ariana Park. This rich collection covers the main values of the UN: peace, equality, development, progress, freedom, human rights, and the environment.
The monument was donated to the UN on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Azerbaijan's admission to the UN.

It should be noted that FIFA established this award for the first time. FIFA President Gianni Infantino specifically noted Trump's "extraordinary work for peace" in his speech. According to him, the US president should even be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for "his efforts to unite people and for the steps he has taken to preserve peace around the world."
"Taking into account this step and what you have achieved along the way, you absolutely deserve FIFA's first Peace Prize," Infantino said.

D. Trump, in his speech, said that thanks to his diplomatic initiatives, he "saved the lives of tens of millions of people" and "prevented many conflicts from starting."
"This is one of the greatest honors of my life," the US President emphasized.
