It is reported that the Turkish football club "Fenerbahce" will receive a heavy financial penalty from UEFA. According to Sport24.az, citing Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the Istanbul representative will be fined approximately 10 million euros (20 million AZN) for exceeding the spending limit in the last two seasons. Turkish media writes that the penalty has already been finalized, and the official process will be completed soon.
According to the claim, the receivables of head coach Jose Mourinho from the club and Kerem Aktürkoğlu's salary, which was included in the budget after negotiations with UEFA, played a key role in exceeding the limit. It is reported that these details were specifically taken into account in UEFA's financial investigation.
Earlier, the Spanish publication "AS" also wrote that UEFA was investigating "Fenerbahce" regarding some transfer and contract issues. The information mentioned the names of Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Jose Mourinho, Milan Škriniar and Diego Carlos. According to the publication, UEFA has requested the club to submit additional documents and written explanations.
