Spanish football referee Carla Garcia Alarcon spoke about the attention she receives from footballers after matches.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to "Aire de Santa Fe" that the referee admitted that footballers often find her on social media after games.
According to Garcia Alarcon, this is because her full name is displayed on official protocols and match information boards.

"My full name appears on the board, and then after matches, footballers find me on social media, send follow requests, and write to get acquainted. Once, they even tried to flirt with me during the game. But I don't know if it's right to say who it was. That person was between 16 and 24 years old," said Garcia Alarcon.

The Spanish referee officiates men's team games and has already attracted the attention of local media not only with her refereeing activities, but also with her activity on social networks.

The topic of the role of women in football and refereeing remains relevant in Spain. One of the most high-profile events of recent years was the scandal involving Luis Rubiales, the former president of the Spanish Royal Football Federation, kissing footballer Jennifer Hermoso without her consent after the final of the Women's World Cup. This event caused a wide resonance in society and brought the issue of attitudes towards women in Spanish football back to the agenda.
