Former CSKA Moscow head coach Fabio Celestini has reached a preliminary agreement with Getafe and may manage the team.
Idman.Biz reports this with reference to Marca.
The Swiss coach is ready to take the position, but the contract has not yet been finalized, as the club management is awaiting the final decision of current head coach Jose Bordalas, who may move from Getafe to Sevilla. Bordalas, who previously refused to renew his contract, will meet with management this week.
Celestini left his position as head coach of CSKA Moscow in early May after winning the Russian Super Cup with the club.
Getafe finished seventh in La Liga last season with 51 points, allowing the club to participate in the La Liga Conference League in the 2026/27 season.
