Azerbaijani FIFA referee Elchin Masiyev served as the fourth official in the UEFA Super Cup match between PSG (France) and Tottenham (England). Sport24.az reports with reference to AFFA that the game was managed by Portuguese Joao Pedro Silva Pineiro.
The match held at the "Friuli" stadium in Udine, Italy ended with a score of 2:2. PSG, who played more accurately in the penalty shootout, became the owner of the Super Cup.
With this appointment, Elchin Masiyev entered our football history as the first Azerbaijani referee to participate in a UEFA Super Cup match.
After the meeting, he was awarded a special prize by UEFA.
