Davide Ancelotti, the son of Brazilian national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti, will lead a French Ligue 1 club.
According to Idman.Biz, citing Footmercato, "Lille" has signed a contract with the Italian coach.
Ancelotti's son will replace Bruno Genesio, who refused to renew his contract.
Davide Ancelotti has previously coached at PSG, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton, Real Madrid again, and the Brazilian national team. His only previous head coaching experience was with Brazilian club Botafogo from July to December 2025.
At the end of the 2025/2026 season, "Lille" finished third in the Ligue 1 standings. The team qualified for the 2026/2027 UEFA Champions League.
