Despite their deep-rooted histories, many clubs in Europe's leading football leagues have not been able to win a championship for more than 10 years.
According to Lent.az, although Arsenal ended their 22-year championship drought in the English Premier League, many big clubs in European leagues still have not won a championship for more than 10 years.
"Manchester United" / English Premier League
"Manchester United", along with "Liverpool", is the club with the most Premier League titles (20 each), but their last league victory was in the 2012-2013 season after Alex Ferguson's retirement.
"Manchester United" has been deprived of the Premier League title for 13 years.
"Fenerbahçe" / Turkish Super League
"Fenerbahçe" last won the Super League championship trophy in the 2013-2014 season.
The Istanbul club has not won the championship in the last 12 seasons.
"Lyon" and "Marseille" / French Ligue 1
"Olympique Lyon", which dominated French Ligue 1 in the early 2000s and won 7 consecutive championships, last won the league in the 2007-2008 season.
Due to the dominance of PSG in recent times, "Lyon"'s longing for the championship has reached 18 years.
