Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, known as Chicharito, will soon join USL Championship club Atletico Dallas.
Sport.Biz reports this with reference to journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano.
Chicharito's move is the first step in the history of the new USL franchise Atletico Dallas, which is set to debut in the league in 2028. The player will start playing for the team in 2027, but will already participate in the development of the club.
The former Mexican national team player has played for European clubs including Manchester United, Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, and Sevilla from 2010 to 2020.
The USL Championship is the second-most powerful division in the US after MLS, but there is no promotion or relegation system between the two leagues.
