"We couldn't win for a long time and we wanted to put an end to the bad luck. Thank God we succeeded. We both showed a beautiful game and won in the Sumgayit trip". These words were said by Sabail football player Jabir Amirli in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 28-year-old flank defender shared his views on the XIX round match of the Premier League, in which they won 2:0 against Sumgayit:
"The team had a good preparation process during the collective break. Unfortunately, I can't help my team because I had surgery at the end of December. But I do not spare my moral support by being with them. The 3 points in the match with Sumgayit were very important for us".
Amirli also spoke about the XX round match against Kapaz, which they will hold today at their home ground:
"Now our team is facing another difficult test. The game with Kapaz is an important meeting for both us and them. Hopefully, we will win a successful result in this game and make our fans happy. All the players are aware of the responsibility of this match. That's why we have prepared with all our strength".
It should be noted that today's Sabail - Kapaz game, which will take place at ASCO Arena, will start at 16:00.
