Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has revealed why he rejected a £200 million offer from Saudi Arabia.
Idman.Biz, citing foreign media, reports that the Portuguese footballer stated that he chose to fulfill his childhood dreams:
"Instead of being the richest person in the history of my city, I want to fulfill my dreams. I want to pass these values on to my children.
Look, my wife decided to pursue my dreams with me when I was only 17 years old. I have been with her since I was 16. At 17, I went to Italy and earned $1,700 a month. There was a lot of uncertainty. There was no guarantee of anything. My wife had her own life, her own dreams, and she said, 'I'm going to help you.' And that's exactly what she did."
