Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva is one step closer to joining Barcelona as a free agent.
Idman.Biz reports that journalist Nicolo Schira reported this on his X social media page.
According to the source, the 31-year-old footballer will sign a contract with "blaugrana" until 2028, with the right to extend the contract until 2029.
AS had previously reported that Bernardo was offered to Real Madrid. Marca reported that Atletico Madrid are ready to sign the midfielder to a two-year contract, with the right to extend the contract for another season.
Bernardo's contract with Manchester City, where he has played since 2017, expires on June 30. This season, the Portuguese has made 53 appearances in all tournaments, scoring three goals and providing five assists.
