Barcelona striker Ferran Torres can only be sold if he wants to leave the club.
Sport.Biz reports, citing "Mundo Deportivo", that the Catalan club wants to continue working with the 26-year-old footballer and extend his contract in September.
Barcelona will only sell Torres if the player himself wants to leave the team. The new contract is planned to be signed after the summer transfer window closes. The reason is the desire to comply with financial fair play rules.
At the same time, Barcelona must pay Manchester City eight million euros (15.5 million manat) for the transfer of the striker.
Earlier, it was reported that PSG was interested in the 2026 World Cup winner. It was also noted that the striker was ready to leave Barcelona.
Torres played 49 matches in all tournaments last season, scoring 21 goals and providing three assists. The player's contract with Barcelona is valid until the summer of 2027.
According to the Transfermarkt portal, Ferran Torres' market value is 50 million euros (96.7 million manat).
