The Catalan club will receive tens of millions of euros for winning the Spanish league.
After Real lost the chance to catch up with the Catalans in the standings, Barcelona officially became the Spanish champion in the 2025/26 season.
Lent.az reports that, according to Spanish media, the Catalan club will receive approximately 60 million euros in prize money for winning La Liga. This is the largest payment among all participants in the championship.
Real, which finished the season in second place, could earn approximately 52 million euros. This means that the difference between the champion and the runner-up will be approximately 8 million euros.
Teams that finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League will also receive a significant amount of prize money. The team that finishes third will earn approximately 45 million euros, and the team that finishes fourth will earn approximately 38 million euros.
The fifth and sixth places, which qualify for the Europa League, are worth approximately 30 million euros.
Clubs in the lower half of the standings earn significantly less. Teams relegated from La Liga will earn between 1 million euros and 3 million euros.
The total prize pool for the Spanish league this season is approximately 1.3 billion euros.
