The contract terms of Dani Olmo, the midfielder for the Spanish football team "Barcelona," will be improved.
Idman.Biz reports, citing "Mundo Deportivo," that this agreement has been reached in advance between the parties and will come into effect from the Spanish footballer's third season at "Barcelona."
The Catalan representative has taken into account the financial concessions Olmo made during the transfer in the summer of 2024. At that time, the player received more favorable offers from the English Premier League and the German Bundesliga, but agreed to a reduction in his initial salary to move to "Barcelona."
The new salary increase will be aligned with Olmo's status within the team. The club wants to compensate the player for playing with a lower salary in the first two seasons.
It is worth recalling that Dani Olmo moved from "Leipzig" to "Barcelona" in the summer of 2024. His contract runs until June 30, 2030, and the release clause is 500 million euros (1 billion AZN).
In the 2025/2026 season, Olmo participated in 46 official matches, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists.
