The level of preparation of the Azerbaijan national minifootball team for the World Championship to be held in Baku will be clear after the international tournament to be held in Slovakia.
The head coach of the team, Elshad Guliyev, said this in an interview with "Report".
The specialist said that everything is going according to plan:
"This was our second gathering and it went well. These were important games for us. Today we will go to Slovakia. There will also be a tournament there and several matches await us. How ready we are for the World Championship will be known after these games. We will also try to eliminate other shortcomings in Baku. The main thing is that we can implement what we have planned on the field. Everything is fine so far."
He emphasized that he intends to give all players a chance in the tournament in Slovakia.
"There will also be an international tournament in Slovakia. In addition to Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Slovakia, Poland, Belgium and Hungary will participate. Each of these teams will compete in the World Championship. It will be a strong tournament. Our goal is not only to become champions. We have come here with 22 players. We are trying to give each of them a chance. Our goal is to see how much they can help us in big games. In any case, we have no intention of losing to our opponents."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan national team won the international tournament held in Herceg Novi, Montenegro. The team defeated the national teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina (7:2), Turkey (1:0), Montenegro (3:2) and Kazakhstan (5:0).
The team led by Elshad Guliyev will compete with Slovenia, Mauritania and Bahrain in Group A of the World Championship. The mundial, in which 32 teams will participate, will be held from May 21 to June 1 at the National Gymnastics Arena.
