"It was a dramatic and interesting game. It could have been predicted that the match would be like this. Because it was interesting to see how head coach Gurban Berdyev would prepare the team for the match after "Turan Tovuz" lost to "Kapaz" (2:5). Former coach of the Azerbaijani national team Arif Asadov said this in his statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced specialist shared his views on the "Qarabag" - "Turan Tovuz" match (1:2) held in the XX round of the Premier League.
4-5 players did not participate in the match with "Kapaz". This was also one of the reasons for the defeat. Now, some of the players were back in the lineup and new transfers were on the field. Tense fight continued until the end of the meeting. "Qarabag" had more possession of the ball and dictated the game. But the Tovuz representative stood out on the field with their determination and desire. I think this paid off in the end.
Asadov said that the guests fought to the end after falling into a losing position:
"It was felt that if "Qarabag" did not score the second goal, "Turan Tovuz" would make a difference. They make a difference unexpectedly, they make a very good impression in standard situations. In this match, they also equalized the score from a standard situation. After "Qarabag" went forward, they made mistakes in defense. I think it was a very interesting game. This victory is of great importance for "Turan Tovuz" in terms of qualifying for European Cups."
