Spanish businessman and candidate for the presidency of "Real" Enrique Riquelme hinted at potential transfers he could make if elected. Sport24.az reports that the businessman, in a statement to Marca, said that although he did not mention any names, he could bring a player from the Spanish national team that will participate in the 2026 World Cup:
"There is not a single "Real" player in the Spanish national team. "Real" players have been in the 16 World Cups held to date. As a "Real" fan, I am angry, but there is a solution. If I were the president of "Real", there would be a "Real" player in the Spanish national team at the World Cup. Before the nomination was announced, we agreed with the new head coach."
It should be noted that the presidential elections at "Real" will be held on June 7. Florentino Perez and Riquelme are candidates for the currently vacant position.
