It is reported that Ali Koç, the former president of the Turkish football club "Fenerbahçe", has taken action to acquire the controlling stake of the Spanish football club "Sevilla".
İdman.Biz, citing Turkish media, reports that Koç is conducting preliminary research regarding the shareholder structure, financial situation, and possible acquisition conditions of the Spanish representative. The claim mentions a transaction budget of approximately 150 million euros (300 million AZN) for the acquisition of the controlling stake in "Sevilla" and additional financial investment in the club.
The information states that the ongoing management dispute within "Sevilla" surrounding the Del Nido family increases the likelihood of attracting a new investor to the club.
The Turkish press also associates Koç's failure to run in the recent presidential race at "Fenerbahçe" with this plan.
It should be noted that "Sevilla" has been going through a difficult period in recent years, both in terms of sports results and financial situation.
