Ilıcalı stated before the play-off stage that he would take the players to Las Vegas if the team qualified for the Premier League. "Hull City" returned to the elite by defeating "Middlesbrough" 1-0 in the final. The winning goal was scored by Oli McBurnie in the 95th minute.
