The "Vugar Gashimov Open 2025" international chess tournament organized by the Vugar Gashimov Chess Foundation has started.
Idman.biz reports that 206 chess players from 6 countries are participating in the competition, which is being held for the 11th time.
After the first 4 rounds, eight participants continue with 4 points each. According to additional indicators, Azerbaijani chess player Shiroglan Talibov is first, and Israeli representative Yevgeni Alekseyev is second.
It should be noted that the tournament is included in the "Chess Tour Azerbaijan" project, which is being implemented for the first time on the initiative of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation.
