The Azerbaijani national team has achieved a historic success at the World Team Chess Championship among women's teams in Spain.
Idman.Biz reports that our team, facing the FIDE team in the final, won the silver medal of the World Championship for the first time. This result is considered one of the greatest achievements of the women's team in the history of Azerbaijani chess.
The team's leader, Ulviyya Fataliyeva, playing on the first board, scored 6 points in 10 games, surpassing all her rivals and was awarded an individual gold medal.
The Azerbaijani team included Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, Khanim Balajayeva, and Ayan Allahverdiyeva.

The national team, consisting of Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Khanim Balajayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, and Ayan Allahverdiyeva, lost the first match 1:3 and the second match 1.5:2.5.
