Tie-breaks were held today in the Azerbaijani Rapid Chess Championship among men. Sport24.az reports that the strongest players in 3 more pairs have been determined.
Nijat Mammadov lost to Suleyman Suleymanli, Azer Mirzayev lost to Vugar Rasulov, and Namig Guliyev was stronger than Rahim Gasimov. The winners qualified for the 1/8 finals.
It should be noted that the championship is held according to the Olympic system. Earlier, Eltaj Safarli, Mahammad Muradli, Vugar Asadli, Ahmad Ahmadzade, Misraddin Iskandarov, Riad Samadov and Farid Abbasov advanced to the next stage.
