Nakhchivan chess players performed successfully at the "Golden Apricot" international tournament held in Malatya, Turkey.
The local bureau of "Report" informs that 486 chess players from 11 countries competed in the traditional competition held for the 8th time.
10 chess players from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic participated in the tournament. Three of them achieved successful results.
Urfan Sevdimaliyev and Parviz Gasimov, who played in group A of the competition, were in the top ten. In group B, veteran chess player Bahaddin Hatamov took 3rd place.
It should be noted that Nakhchivan chess players are also participating in the "Betav Open" international tournament that started in Bitlis, Turkey. We are represented by 20 athletes in this competition.
