The leaders of the Azerbaijani national chess team, Shahriyar Mammadyarov and Rauf Mammadov, will start their fight in the national championship from the 1/8 finals.
According to "Report", both grandmasters are exempt from the 1/16 final stage.
In the 1/8 finals, Sh. Mammadyarov will meet with the winner of the Murad Ibrahimli - Vugar Manafov pair, and R. Mammadov will meet with the stronger of the Azer Mirzayev - Shiroglan Talibov duel.
The first games in both the women's and men's competitions will take place on February 8.
