Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation Faig Hasanov has become a record holder in the world-famous Guinness Book of Records for the second time.
"Report" informs that an event was held on this occasion on Azerbaijan Television.
Speaking at the ceremony, Guinness World Records official Sheyda Subashi said that the "Television Chess Club" program has been broadcast since March 27, 1969.
Faig Hasanov, the author and host of the "Television Chess Club" program, which has been on the air for 55 years and 277 days, has gone down in history as the author of the second record. The program has been recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-running sports program on the air.
It should be noted that last month Faig Hasanov was awarded a special diploma as the record holder for the longest-serving male chess referee.
