Our women's chess team has advanced to the semifinals of the World Championship held in Linares, Spain. Sport24.az reports that the team, facing Georgia in the 1/4 finals, agreed to a 2:2 draw in the first match.
In the next duel, our team, happy with a 2.5:1.5 victory, advanced to the semifinals. In this stage, the opponent of the Azerbaijani team will be Kazakhstan.
In the other semifinal, the FIDE team will face China.
It should be noted that Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Khanim Balajayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, and Ayan Allahverdiyeva are in the national team. The team captain is Ilaha Gadimova.
The World Championship will end on November 23.
