Mammadyarov defeated local athlete Sebastian Laemmel.
Mahammad Muradli, who is competing in the "Grenke Chess Open", checkmated local athlete Gergel Mann. Eltaj Safarli was stronger than Gabriel Fernandes (Switzerland).
