Namig Guliyev finished 20th at the French Open Championship

Azerbaijani chess player Namig Guliyev competed in the French Open Championship.

İdman.biz reports that the competition was held in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés in a rapid chess format.

In blitz, Guliyev scored 9.5 points out of a possible 13 and took 20th place.

The winner of the championship was French chess player Maxime Lagarde with 11.5 points.

A total of 608 chess players participated in the competition.
