The Nakhchivan rating chess tournament dedicated to "November 8 – Victory Day" will be held at the Nakhchivan Chess Center with the joint organization of the Ministry of Education of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the Council of Trade Unions.
The local bureau of "Report" reports that the competition, which will last from October 30 to November 5, will consist of 9 rounds according to the Swiss system.
Anyone with a FIDE ID account can participate in the competition.
The winner of the competition will be awarded a cash prize of 500 manats, the second place 300 manats, the third place 150 manats, a cup, medal and diplomas. Also, the participants who score the most points in each age category among boys and girls chess players aged 8, 10, 12, 14 will be additionally awarded 50 manats and a diploma.
It should be noted that the purpose of organizing the tournament is to celebrate "Victory Day", as well as to promote and develop chess in Nakhchivan, and to increase the playing experience and international rating of chess players.
