A team tournament among northern regional schools dedicated to "July 20 - International Chess Day" was held in Khachmaz by the Azerbaijan Chess Federation.
Idman.biz reports that the first move in the tournament was made by the chairman of the YAP Khachmaz district organization, Muhammad Balagadashov, the head of the ACF commission, Zeynab Mammadyarova, and the head of the Guba-Khachmaz Regional Youth and Sports Department, Gumru Mammadova.
Khachmaz chess players won the title of winner of the competition. Guba was second, Shabran was third.
