19-year-old Uzbek chess player Javokhir Sindarov has won the FIDE World Cup. Sport24.az reports that Sindarov has thus made history as the youngest chess player to win the World Cup.
Javokhir Sindarov has also qualified for the Candidates Tournament, which will be held in 2026.
It should be noted that, along with Javokhir, Chinese player Wei Yi and Russian player Andrey Esipenko have also qualified to participate in the Candidates Tournament.
