Azerbaijan has come very close to Germany in the chess ranking of countries. Sport24.az reports that the International Chess Federation (FIDE) has announced the chess ranking calculated based on the average score of the first ten chess players of each country.
As of the beginning of May, Azerbaijan had 2631 points, which allowed it to maintain sixth place. Our country is only one point behind Germany, while last month the difference was three points.
Although Ukraine also scored 2631 points, it lags behind Azerbaijan in terms of the number of grandmasters.
