Today, the international chess festival "Guba Open" starts in Guba.
Idman.biz reports that this competition is held at the initiative of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation within the framework of "Chess Tour Azerbaijan".
42 chess players will compete in the A tournament. Among them is Azerbaijani representative and one of the rating favorites, Muhammad Muradli. Also, Evgeni Romanov (North Macedonia), Vitaliy Bernadsky (Ukraine), Mikhail Kekelidze (Georgia), and Khagan Ahmad, the winner of the "Lankaran Open" tournament held last weekend, will participate in Guba.
180 chess players will compete in the B tournament.
It should be noted that the competition, which will consist of 9 rounds, will be held according to the Swiss system.
