FIDE has published the world rating of chess players for May.
Idman.biz reports that 7 Azerbaijani chess players are in the "Top-100" in the list.
Among male chess players, Shahriyar Mamedyarov has the best performance. Our grandmaster, who dropped one place, is in 14th place with 2746 points. Teymur Rajabov (2692), who also dropped one place, is in 40th place. Rauf Mammadov (2657) retained his position in 69th place.
The table is headed by Norwegian Magnus Carlsen with 2837 points.
In the women's table, our best representative, Govhar Beydullayeva (2394), dropped 8 places to 53rd place. Gunay Mammadzada (2390), who worsened her position by 4 places, is 57th.
