He spoke about the development of chess in Azerbaijan: "This is not my first visit to Baku. I express my gratitude for the hospitality. The number of participants in this competition today indicates the development of chess in Azerbaijan. As Azerbaijan and Turkey are brotherly countries, they also support each other in chess. I think that this cooperation will contribute to the overall world chess."
