Azerbaijan Championships in rapid and blitz chess will be held among men and women, organized by the Azerbaijan Chess Federation.
Idman.biz reports that the competitions, which will be held on December 4-8, will consist of 9 rounds according to the Swiss system.
Chess players with a FIDE rating (classic, rapid or blitz) above 2100 among men and above 2000 among women can participate in the championship.
The total prize fund of the competition is 10,000 manats. 6,000 manats of this amount will be played in the men's tournament, and 4,000 manats in the women's tournament.
The competition system and the number of rounds may vary depending on the number of participants.
It should be noted that the chess players who take the first 3 places in the national championships will be sent to the world championship to be held in Qatar.
