A children's chess tournament dedicated to Victory Day was held in Rotterdam with the organization of the "Karabakh" Sports Club operating under the Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress (BAK) and with the support of the Azerbaijan Diaspora Support Fund.
İdman.Biz reports that the aim of the tournament was to promote the importance of Victory Day among children, strengthen the spirit of patriotism in the younger generation and support their intellectual development.
Azerbaijani children of various age groups living in the Benelux countries participated in the competition. The tournament was organized in a round-robin system.
Employees of the diplomatic corps of Azerbaijan operating in the Kingdom of the Netherlands also participated in the event. It was noted that children preserve and develop their national identity and patriotic feelings through such events.
Winners were determined in different age categories. All participants were awarded certificates, medals and souvenirs.
