The Azerbaijani men's national chess team has achieved another victory at the European Championship held in Batumi (Georgia). Sport24.az reports that the team, including Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Rauf Mammadov, Aydin Suleymanli, Mahammad Muradli, and Eltaj Safarli, has this time defeated Poland - 2.5:1.5.
Having previously defeated Slovakia (3:1) and drawn with the Czech Republic (2:2), the team is currently in third place with five points.
The women's national team, this time, agreed to a draw. The team consisting of Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Khanim Balajayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, and Ayan Allahverdiyeva shared points with France - 2:2.
Having previously defeated Slovenia (4:0) and Hungary (2.5:1.5), the team is fourth with five points.
It should be noted that the European Championship, held according to the Swiss system, will continue until October 14.
