Champion of "Baku Open" tournament determined

The "Baku Open" chess festival concludes today.

Idman.biz reports that Aleksandar Inđić was the leader of the competition before the last round.

The Serbian was half a point ahead of Georgian Baadur Jobava, who was in second place. Both chess players' games in the last round ended in a draw. As a result, Inđić became unattainable for his rivals and won the title of "Baku Open".

Before the last round, Azerbaijani chess players Murad İbrahimli, Muhammad Muradli and Aydin Suleymanli, with 5.5 points each, are also fighting for a place in the top three.

Khazar Babazada and Misratdin Iskandarov drew their last matches with the leaders and increased their scores to 6.
