Today, the Azerbaijani women's chess team will play its next matches at the World Championship held in Linares, Spain.
Idman.Biz reports that the national team, consisting of Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Khanim Balajayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, and Ayan Allahverdiyeva, and captained by Ilaha Gadimova, will face the USA in the third round and the FIDE team in the fourth round.
In Group A, the FIDE team leads with 4 points. Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Spain, and the USA have 2 points. Peru has no points.
Recall that the Azerbaijani national team defeated Peru the previous day (3:1) and lost to Kazakhstan - 1.5:2.5.
Note that the World Championship will end on November 23.
