The Azerbaijani national chess team for the European Championship has been announced.
The press service of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation (ACF) informed "Report" about this.
The Executive Committee of ACF approved the composition of the national teams that will participate in the European Championship to be held in Batumi, Georgia, at an online meeting.
Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Rauf Mammadov, Mahammad Muradli, Aydin Suleymanli and Eltaj Safarli were included in the men's chess team. Teymur Rajabov will be the captain of the team.
Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, Khanim Balajayeva and Ayan Allahverdiyeva were invited to the women's national team. Ilaha Gadimova was approved as the captain, and Nijat Abasov as the coach.
The positions of the chess players on the boards will be announced before the competition.
It should be noted that the continental championship will start on October 5.
