The Azerbaijani women's chess team continues its successful performance at the World Team Championship currently held in Linares, Spain.
According to Idman.Biz, in the quarter-finals, our team consisting of Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Khanim Balajayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, and Ayan Allahverdiyeva defeated the Georgian team with a score of 2.5-1.5 and advanced to the semi-finals.
The only victory was won by Govhar Beydullayeva, while Fataliyeva, Balajayeva, and Mammadova drew.
In the group stage, the Azerbaijani team defeated Peru (3:1) and Spain (3.5:0.5), but lost to Kazakhstan (1.5:2.5), the USA (0.5:3.5), and the FIDE team (1:3).
