The Chess World Cup will be held in India.
Idman.biz reports that the decision was made at the FIDE Council meeting in Batumi.
It is not yet known in which city the competition, which will be held from October 31 to November 27, will take place.
The top "three" in the World Cup, which will feature highly rated chess players, will qualify for the Candidates Tournament.
It should be noted that three Azerbaijani chess players - Rauf Mammadov, Riad Samadov and Ahmad Ahmadzade will compete in the World Cup. Nijat Abasov will participate in the tournament as a semi-finalist of the last world championship.
